That's never good.

Utah Jazz rookie of the year hopeful Trey Burke fractured his right index finger in the first quarter of their preseason game against the Clippers on Saturday.

After being taken out midway through the first to get the finger taped up, Burke returned for some action early in the second before team trainers decided they had seen enough and pulled him for the night.

According to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News, Burke will be re-evaluated Monday. In his 14 minutes of game play, Burke went 1-for-6 from the field with just two points, four assists and two turnovers.

Jazz fans are definitely hoping for a speedy recovery.
