Tickets for Game 1 of the NBA Finals are insane

The average resale price for a ticket to Game 1 of the NBA Finals in Oakland is over $1,500.00. That’s an increase of nearly $1,000.00 compared to Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals.

That’s also nowhere close to as ridiculous as this: A court-side seat to Game 1 on Thursday night sold on the resale site Ticketmaster for $36,843 (h/t CNN.com).

More than that, if you are looking to get nosebleed seats, it will cost you over $1,000.00.

This just goes to show us how in-demand tickets are for the Golden State Warriors’ first Finals appearance in 40 years. It also pretty much prices the average fan out of going to any game in Oakland.

For what it’s worth, Game 3 of the series in Cleveland are not currently available on Ticketmaster. It will be interesting to see how much those tickets are going for when the series eventually transitions to the home of the Cavaliers.
