Published Nov. 27, 2012 3:05 a.m. ET

The Oklahoma City Thunder produced one of the most dominant first halves in NBA history Monday night, building a 64-24 halftime lead against the Charlotte Bobcats.

It was the fifth-biggest halftime lead in NBA history and the largest since Golden State set the record with an 88-41 edge on Sacramento on Nov. 2, 1991, according to STATS LLC. The Thunder franchise record for a halftime lead is 44, from the Seattle SuperSonics' 75-31 lead against Boston on Nov. 23, 1967.

That's the second-largest halftime margin in NBA history.

The Thunder shot 60 percent from the field while limiting Charlotte to 22 percent and forcing 11 turnovers.
