The Golden State Warriors explain why they loved Prince

It can easily be said that the Golden State Warriors transcend professional sports, that their popularity carries them to an unparalleled level of recognition and appreciation. 

They inspire and induce joy, and you don't need to be an NBA diehard to adore how they play and how successful they are. 

Prince, who died on Thursday, transcended art. He transcended entertainment and individuality and what it means to be bold and true at the exact same time, all the time.

To the surprise of nobody, one of the most innovative pop artists who ever lived couldn't help but find himself attracted to the Warriors, such a revolutionary collection of basketball talent (Prince really liked the NBA.)
