Spurs big man Tim Duncan officially named Teammate of the Year
San Antonio Spurs big man Tim Duncan is widely regarded as one of the best players in NBA history. He's also known as an exceptional teammate, beloved by all who've ever had the pleasure of suiting up beside him in court.
On Tuesday, to the surprise of absolutely no one, Duncan received the 2014-15 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. Here's how Duncan locked up yet another trophy, provided by ESPN's Michael C. Wright:
"I know how to be the way I am because of people that came before me," Duncan said via the Associated Press. "The people I was able to be teammates with, be around, watch them operate, watch them work, watch them as teammates (and) watch them accept the role. All those things are big pieces in what I am today and who I am today. So a lot of credit goes to them as well."
