Shayne Whittington wins shrimp-eating contest at Pacers' charity softball game
It would seem that softball wasn't the only thing on the agenda when the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts took to the diamond last week. A little shrimp-eating contest broke out during the charity softball event, and the winner in a decisive victory was Pacers center Shayne Whittington.
You can watch the video of the contest for yourself here, and if you do, you'll likely be a bit confused at first. From the looks of things, there are like, five shrimp, tops, that each contestant has to eat. What kind of un-American eating contest is this?
Ah, but there's a catch: Hot sauce. And from the reactions of the competitors, it seems to be rather spicy -- although Whittington doesn't seem to have much of an issue. Maybe it's because he had Paul George rooting him on.
