Is there something in the water driving everyone away from the Indiana Pacers these days? Well, everyone except Roy Hibbert, that is.

Amid reports that he hasn't officially opted out, all indications still remain that David West will move on next season and end his time in Indiana. Now, a report from RealGM indicates that the Houston Rockets are interested in signing Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey:

"After a productive season on the competing Indiana Pacers, Rodney Stuckey has plans to sign with a contender in free agency, with the Houston Rockets expected to be among interested teams, league sources told RealGM."

On the surface, this contradicts what Stuckey said last week, when he told the Pacers' official team website that he hoped to be back in Indiana next season. But if West is on his way out and Indiana is on the verge of rebuilding, and if Stuckey wants to play for a contender, then the Pacers probably aren't the right place for him. His "hope" to stay with the team might very well have been predicated on a hope that they'd be able to piece together a contender this summer.

Unfortunately for Stuckey and Indiana, it doesn't look like that'll be the case. But there's a lot of time left in this NBA offseason -- time for Larry Bird to work his magic.
