Report: Lionel Hollins 'is almost certainly out' as Nets coach

When Lionel Hollins took over as Nets coach at the start of last year, he probably didn't imagine things would go downhill this quickly.
After losing to the Raptors on Wednesday, Brooklyn now sits at 10-25, competing in the NBA's cellar only a season after putting up an underwhelming 38-44 record, good enough to get bounced in the first round of the playoffs.
Hollins may not make it past this year though, per ESPN's Zach Lowe. Here's what Lowe had to say on his recent podcast with ESPN's Brian Windhorst, transcription courtesy of Devin Kharpertian at The Brooklyn Game:
“Brooklyn, Hollins is almost certainly out,” Lowe said, without inspiring a response or rebuttal from Windhorst, and they quickly moved on to Derek Fisher’s standing with the New York Knicks.
Hollins has another year on his contract after this one, but general manager Billy King becomes a GM free agent this summer. Ousting a front office and a coach at the same time would be congruent with how other organizations in similar positions have operated in the past.
