Report: LeBron calls out media taking semi-nude pictures of him in locker room
LeBron James is used to being in the public eye, but one media member reportedly got a little bit too close for comfort over the weekend.
After Cleveland's 123-108 win over the Orlando Magic Sunday, James reportedly caught a locker room visitor snapping pictures of him while he was half-dressed, according to Cleveland.com:
It turned out that James did the equivalent of a no-look pass. Even though his head was lowered, using his peripheral vision, he some somehow managed to catch one of the media delegates taking a picture of him while he was semi-bare.
"That's not cool, man," James said. "I don't miss anything."
This person denied taking the photo and was able to manipulate his phone gallery in such a way that buried the most recent pictures taken.
A night later, team officials removed two media members in plain view taking pictures of towel-clad LeBron speaking at his stall, according to Cleveland.com.
Still photography is prohibited in NBA locker rooms, and has been a recurring problem and annoyance for James and the Cavaliers this season, with team officials forced to closely enforce their no-photography policy.
This latest incident comes not weeks after NPBA director Michele Roberts critcized what she considered an excessive media presence in NBA locker rooms, claiming that there are many reporters "just standing there, just staring at" players. "If you don't have a f---ing question, leave, because it's an incredible invasion of privacy," she added.
This seems to be exactly the type of incident Roberts wants to eliminate.
