Report: Kings offer Peja Stojakovic front-office position

Published Jul. 27, 2015 1:03 p.m. ET

The Kings front office is still in flux.

Dean Oliver is no longer director of player personnel and analytics. Former assistant GM Jason Levien is weirdly consulting (watch out for that, by the by, considering Vlade Divac got pretty much the same gig before owner Vivek Ranadive forced Pete D'Alessandro out with a demotion and a Divac full-time hire). Now, Vlade is extending an offer to one of his buddies.

From ESPN's Marc Stein:

The Sacramento Kings have offered a full-time ‎position in their front office to former All-Star sharpshooter Peja Stojakovic, according to league sources.

Sources said new Kings vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac has asked his former NBA and international teammate Stojakovic to leave Europe and move back to the United States to assist him in a player personnel role.”

We shouldn't have been shocked by this considering Stojakovic showed up to Las Vegas Summer League with the rest of the Kings front office and their newly signed players. I guess there's just more turnover in the Sacramento front office. We'll see how long this one lasts.
