Report: Heat will host LeBron and Cavaliers on Christmas

The NBA reportedly has an early Christmas present for sports fans.

The Miami Heat likely will host LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 25, according to the Miami Herald.

The league's schedule will not be released until mid-August, but the unofficial internal schedule reportedly features that marquee matchup.

James recently agreed to a two-year, $42.1 million contract to return to his hometown Cavaliers, with whom he played the first seven years of his professional career. He spent the past four seasons with the Miami Heat, reaching the NBA Finals in each of those seasons and winning two championships.
