Report: Brandan Wright (knee) will be 'out for a while'
Brandan Wright hasn't gotten off to the best start to begin his Grizzlies career. Wright has missed two straight games after injuring his knee, and coach Dave Joerger doesn't sound too optimistic about his chances of returning any time soon.
From Ari Alexander of WMC Action News 5 in Memphis:
This isn't a debilitating injury for the Grizzlies, even if JaMychal Green now becomes the team's third big man. The biggest problem here is that Memphis doesn't have a backup center after Green, but as for the power forward spot, the Grizzlies should be fine as long as Wright comes back at some point.
Memphis can capably use both Matt Barnes and, more realistically, Jeff Green as small-ball 4s. Green has played plenty of power forward in the past, and Barnes has dabbled there when the moments have been right. Now is one of those moments.
