Reggie Miller says a group of 50-year-olds could beat the Grizzlies

The Grizzlies limped into the playoffs having used a record 28 different players over the course of the regular season due to injury, and are massive underdogs in a series against the Spurs without stars Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. Memphis is so shorthanded that Reggie Miller believes a group of NBA legends who haven't played in more than a decade could take a game off the Grizzlies. In an interview on the Dan Patrick Show Monday, Patrick asked Miller if he thinks his broadcast colleagues could beat any of the 16 NBA playoff teams.

Such a team would definitely be competitive in the mid-90s. Kenny Smith is 51 years old. Barkley is 53, Shaq is 44, Chris Webber is 43, Ernie Johnson is 59 (and is not a former basketball player), and Miller is 50. Turner has reportedly offered recently retired Lakers legend Kobe Bryant a contract to join the NBA crew, though he wouldn't officially be a member of the roster for this fantasy game.

Miller's team woud probably have more of a chance than the best college team does at beating the worst NBA team (which is zero), but we know Sir Charles can't exactly run the floor the way he used to. Miller still has a sweet jumper, though.
