Raptors' Terrence Ross out indefinitely after suffering thumb injury
The Toronto Raptors got off to a hot start this season. But as they've cooled off, their on-court problems have been compounded by injuries.
Now, the Raptors have received even more bad news. Terrence Ross, who reportedly suffered a thumb injury during a workout on Monday, will be out for at least two weeks and is expected to remain out indefinitely, the team announced on Wednesday.
The injury follows plantar fasciitis for DeMarre Carroll, who has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
With Carroll in Toronto, Ross' role with the Raptors has diminished this season. He's averaging 6.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game. He agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Raptors just before the extension deadline earlier this month.
