In a fiery game the Celtics lead from start to finish in a much needed win.
Player Grades
23 PTS 2 REBS 4 ASTS
Another great night for the Celtics star. Despite being ejected in the fourth quarter for an elbow to Justice Winslow, Thomas provided the spark to help the Celtics build a big first half lead in another great game.
20 PTS 5 REBS 0 ASTS
Another subpar shooting night for Bradley, but he still had a solid night. 20 points was a good showing but failed to get any assists while staying active with five rebounds.
6 PTS 6 REBS 4 ASTS
Smart did a bit of everything, and had a very solid outing. Another subpar shooting night going just 2-8 but otherwise good contributions from Smart.
Jae Crowder C+
15 PTS 6 REBS 1 ASTS
Crowder had an inefficient night from the field in this one but 3-6 from three was important early and his five steals were a tone setter on the defensive end.
17 PTS 7 REBS 8 ASTS
Horford was terrific once again, almost snaring a triple double in the win. Only real down side was his 0-4 from the three point line.
9 PTS 4 REBS 2 ASTS
Johnson had the unenviable task of guarding Hassan Whiteside, who had a dominate game but did his best to stop the Heat centre. 4-5 from the field and 1-1 from deep was a good sign for a man who has struggled to score the ball lately.
Kelly Olynyk C-
4 PTS 2 REBS 0 ASTS
An ineffective night for Olynyk who didn’t do much in his 13 minutes of action. 1-5 from the field and only the two rebounds in a poor night for Olynyk.
Terry Rozier C-
5 PTS 1 REBS 1 ASTS
Just five points for Rozier in a quiet night for the second year man. Was a +10 for the night so did well when he was on despite not putting up big numbers.
4 PTS 3 REBS 1 ASTS
A poor shooting night for Jerebko going just 2-7 including 0-2 from deep. Five fouls were another problem for him on the night.
Jaylen Brown and Tyler Zeller both played small minutes and didn’t have an impact.
The Celtics head to Memphis to face the Grizzles to continue this three game road trip.
