Patrick Beverley out with a concussion

Published Nov. 5, 2015 5:45 p.m. ET

The Houston Rockets and head coach Kevin McHale have been experimenting with multiple different lineups, particularly at point guard.

New addition Ty Lawson has been playing with the starters, but backup point guard Patrick Beverley has been receiving his time as well.

At least for the immediate future, though, the job will belong to Lawson. Beverley has reportedly been ruled out for Friday's game with a concussion:

It's possible that Beverley will remain in the league's concussion protocol for longer.

Beverley has averaged 19 minutes a game in five appearances this year. Jason Terry will likely receive additional minutes in his absence.
