Okur out, Humphries plays with stomach flu

Published Jan. 27, 2012 7:16 p.m. ET

New Jersey center Mehmet Okur is out for the Nets' game against Cleveland because of a back injury.

New Jersey coach Avery Johnson said Okur will have an MRI on Saturday. Okur missed two games earlier in the season because of back spasms.

Nets forward Kris Humphries is in the starting lineup despite missing Friday's morning shoot-around with the stomach flu.

Rookie guard MarShon Brooks missed his third straight game because of a sore left Achilles. Johnson said Brooks will have a further medical examination Saturday and might play in Sunday's home game against Toronto. Brooks is the NBA's second-leading scorer among rookies, trailing only Cleveland's Kyrie Irving.
