Notre Dame's Jerian Grant is intrigued by Pacers

The Indiana Pacers, in severe limbo after a strange and disappointing season that defies explanation, are hoping for a lucky bounce of the ping pong balls in tonight's NBA Draft lottery.

Team executive Larry Bird has been busy at the combine and elsewhere scouting talent, leading one to wonder whether he wouldn't be interested in trading up in this field, even if fate doesn't net him a high selection. One player who has made his interest known as mutual is Notre Dame's standout guard Jerian Grant, who spoke to Candace Buckner of the Indy Star about his workout with the team.

"I think I bring a lot of playmaking skills. Get guys better looks and just making the guys around me a lot better," the in-state sensation said. "It's something that will definitely fit my game, being able to play with George Hill, play on or off the ball; it's something that I've done my whole career so I feel like I'll fit in right away."
