NBA to use different game ball with snowflake on Christmas Day (PHOTO)

The all-day basketball smorgasbord that is Christmas Day in the NBA is right around the corner, and all the finishing touches are coming along nicely. The uniforms were unveiled back in October, and we got a sneak peek earlier this month at some of the seasonal shoes the stars will wear, too.

That's not all, however. It looks like the game ball will get a holiday effect, as well, in the form of a snowflake around the NBA logo:

It's a nice accent, but we can't help but wonder if it might end up being a little distracting. Can we really expect, say, J.R. Smith not to try to line his hand up on the snowflake if he catches the ball for a particularly wide-open 3? The thought of getting red hot as you rain shots from the snowflake is just too tempting.
