NBA rookies give huge praise to Kris Dunn in new poll
On Tuesday, NBA.com's John Schuhmann released the results of a poll that asked 38 NBA rookies to share their thoughts on a variety of topics. The results revealed one common theme: Kris Dunn is going to be a star.
When asked:
1) Who will win the 2016-2017 NBA Rookie of the Year Award?
2) Which rookie is the best defender?
3) Which rookie is the best playmaker?
The 38 rookies voted Kris Dunn to be the top candidate for each of these questions -- 29.0 percent, 23.5 percent, and 29.4 percent, respectively. After Ben Simmons' electric performance distributing the ball as the 76ers' point guard during this year's summer league, this is indeed eye-popping recognition.
One notable category Dunn didn't win was, 'Which rookie will have the best career?' That honor belongs to Los Angeles Lakers savior Brandon Ingram (26.7 percent), with Kris Dunn coming in second (16.7 percent).
Will these opinions pan out to be correct? Only time will tell...
