Michael Irvin sends special message to Dez Bryant after he tied his Cowboys TD mark
Michael Irvin was on hand Thursday night to watch the Dallas Cowboys take on the Minnesota Vikings. And the Cowboys icon got an up-close look at Dez Bryant tying his team record for career touchdown receptions with his 65th score in the Cowboys’ 17-15 win.
Bryant hauled in the record-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter, scoring on an 8-yard screen pass that gave Dallas the lead for good, 14-9.
Irvin congratulated Bryant during the game and sent a message to the star wideout – from one 88 to another.
“Right here in this end zone is where Dez Bryant just tied my touchdown record with the Dallas Cowboys,” Irvin said. “I’m going to take some of [the end-zone turf] with me.”
Bryant finished with four catches for 84 yards and a touchdown in the win, the Cowboys’ 11th in a row.
