Lakers expect Kobe Bryant to play in Denver on Tuesday
The Los Angeles Lakers expect Kobe Bryant to play in Tuesday night's contest against the Denver Nuggets, according to head coach Byron Scott.
“He’s back and feeling better. He feels good enough where he wants to play,” head coach Byron Scott told the Los Angeles Daily News after Monday's practice. “If he’s already said he’s ready to go and good to go, I know him. That means a little pain doesn’t matter to him. He’ll be ready to play tomorrow.”
Bryant sat out Saturday's 40-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder with a sore right shoulder. It's unclear if Bryant's posterizing dunk on Houston Rockets big man Clint Capela caused the injury, but the last three times he's dunk in a game he's sat out afterward, so that might be the case:
Though Bryant rested at the team's hotel during Monday's 45-minute practice session, Scott told Bryant to attend shootaround on Tuesday to keep him in rhythm before the game.
