Kobe Bryant's newest teammate is Steven Spielberg
Kobe Bryant's drive for perfection hasn't simmered since his final game as an NBA player. In his post-athlete career as the head of a content creating company dubbed Kobe Studios, Bryant still understands that being the best means learning from the best.
And in the world of film, few names are more successful than Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams. So, naturally, Bryant has them on speed dial (via ESPN):
Bryant's new venture is so interesting. He's trying to do what few if any retired professional athletes before him have done.
He's clearly invested in making Kobe Studios work, producing stories that capture his passion and deliver it to the masses. Will it pan out? Who knows? But doubting Bryant hasn't been a particularly intelligent move for the last 20 years, and there's little reason to think that will change anytime soon.
