Kawhi Leonard says he wants to be the MVP

Kawhi Leonard is a rising NBA superstar. He's already one of the league's best defensive players, and can get his shot off whenever he wants.
But while Leonard already has a Finals MVP on his trophy case, his desire to win more awards has not diminished. Here's what he recently told The Press Enterprise's David Zink (hat tip to CBS Sports):
“I think being in San Antonio has helped a lot. Coming to a team like the Spurs, you're automatically going to learn how to play the game the right way. Winning just rubs off on you, once you see Manu (Ginobili), Tony (Parker) and Tim (Duncan) wanting to win every game. I want to be an (NBA) all-star and MVP of the regular season. I'm trying to be one of the greatest players so whatever level that consists of is where I want to take my game.”
This isn't even close to ridiculous. There's no reason why Leonard can't be an All-Star every year of his new five-year maximum contract. It's expected.
Winning the MVP is obviously a lot harder—especially with Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, James Harden, LeBron James and Kevin Durant around—but if Leonard can keep the Spurs in contention after Tim Duncan retires his name will belong up there with everybody else.
