Hornets' Vasquez, Clippers' Billups both out
The Hornets are without Greivis Vasquez for Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers because of the starting point guard's sprained right ankle.
Vasqeuz was hurt during Tuesday's night's loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles, and was limited to 25 minutes during Wednesday night's loss at Sacramento.
Hornets coach Monty Williams says Vasquez wants to keep playing, but the team decided to rest him and start Brian Roberts in his place.
Vasquez's absence leaves the Hornets without two starters, with Anthony Davis declared done for the season a night earlier because of his left knee sprain and bone bruise.
Clippers guard Chauncey Billups, who was listed as doubtful with a right groin strain, is missing his seventh straight game. The Clippers play at Memphis on Saturday.
