Rockets fans know the team's various role players inside and out, but here's an introduction for those who're unfamiliar.

From Trevor Ariza to Josh Smith to Pablo Prigioni to Jason Terry, here's a look (courtesy of the Houston Chronicle) at several guys who do a fantastic job supplementing Houston's two superstars: James Harden and Dwight Howard. Below, the spotlight shines on Ariza:

"The starting small forward is one of the most versatile defenders in the NBA. The Rockets have used him this season to guard players at every position except center. Against the Mavericks, Ariza switched back and forth on Dallas’ two top scorers, Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis. His ability to guard anyone, read opposing offenses and disrupt passing lanes mixed with his length and athleticism have been key for the Rockets all season. He is also the only player on the roster who has played in every game this season."

Houston is perceived by some to be a top-heavy basketball team, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The Rockets are well balanced, with the proper combination of outside shooting, off-the-dribble playmakers and defensive dynamos.

Even if you stop one of Harden or Howard, dealing with everyone else is a serious handful.
