he Hawks have selected Long Beach State swingman James Ennis with the 50th overall pick in the NBA draft.

Atlanta was waiting for NBA approval of a trade that would send Ennis to the Miami Heat.

Ennis, last season's Big West Conference player of the year, averaged 16.5 points and 6.7 rebounds in his senior season at Long Beach State.

If Ennis is dealt, the Hawks will have added four players in the draft, including two point guards: first-round pick point Dennis Schroeder of Germany and Raul Neto in the second round from Brazil. And in a deal with Dallas, Atlanta also acquired the rights to enter Lucas Nogueira of Brazil and Bucknell center Mike Muscala.
