MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) Memphis Grizzlies rookie center Deyonta Davis has plantar fasciitis in his left foot and is expected to miss the team's first three summer league games in Las Vegas.

The Grizzlies announced Davis' injury Wednesday. They said Davis hurt his foot while participating in individual workouts in Memphis.

Davis will be re-evaluated daily.

Davis is a 6-foot-11, 239-pound rookie from Michigan State. The Grizzlies acquired his draft rights after the Boston Celtics selected him in the second round with the 31st overall pick.
