For the first time in his illustrious coaching career, Gregg Popovich won't have Tim Duncan on his roster when the San Antonio Spurs begin their season.
But just because Duncan retired this summer, it doesn't mean he's not welcomed back to the organization. Popovich, who is known to keep his feelings under wraps, has made it known that he would love to have the five-time champion around the team.
Popovich even has an official role for the slam-dunk Hall of Famer: "Coach of Whatever He Wants to Be."

Talk about an offer that's difficult to refuse. Let's hope Duncan eventually takes the job so we can see the two on the sidelines together.
