Durant agrees to deal with SONIC Drive-In
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant has agreed to an endorsement deal with SONIC Drive-In, the Oklahoma City-based company said in a news release on Thursday.
The drive-in restaurant chain serves more than 3 million customers daily. Durant will work with the company on the development of new, healthy menu options, make appearances, collaborate on social media and participate in television ads. The parties will support each other's charitable programs.
Since he won the 2014 MVP award, Durant and Roc Nation have been busy. Durant has re-signed with Nike, Sprint and BBVA Compass, added deals with Sparkling Ice, Orange Leaf, Neff and the Oklahoma Department of Health, and he was named the cover athlete for NBA 2K15. He already had deals with Panini, KIND Healthy Snacks and Skullcandy.
