Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:25 p.m. ET

DETROIT (AP) Andre Drummond had 10 points and 13 rebounds and the Detroit Pistons beat the Philadelphia 76ers 97-76.

Tobias Harris scored a game-high 18 for the Pistons to go along with six rebounds, two assists and one steal. Detroit improved to 2-2.

The 76ers (1-5) may have lost, but coach Brett Brown had good news about two of their young players. Brown said Joel Embiid could play both games of back-to-backs once the season begins despite missing the last two seasons because of a broken right foot and being on a preseason minutes restriction. Embiid scored a team-high 15 and grabbed five rebounds, but had seven turnovers.

Jahlil Okafor had surgery for a meniscus tear in March and has not played in the preseason, but Brown said he should be ready for the season opener on October 26.
