Denver Nuggets NBA Live 16 player ratings breakdown
Basketball video game season is upon us.
NBA Live 16 by EA Sports will come out on September 29th, but recently, the individual player ratings for each team were released.
Here's a look at the ratings for the Denver Nuggets, via Operation Sports and YouTube user DLloydTV:
Let's breakdown who is underrated and overrated based on these initial ratings.
Overrated: Randy Foye (79 overall)
NBA Live has Randy Foye ranked as the third best player on the Nuggets, which is probably a bad sign. Foye is turning 32 this season and is coming off a year where he shot just 36.8 percent from the field, so it's a little confusing that he would be ranked higher than Jusuf Nurkic and Kenneth Faried, among others.
Underrated: Jusuf Nurkic (77 overall)
Speaking of big Nurk, 77 overall is far too low for one of the best rookies in the league last year. Nurkic's plus-minus stats were among the very best in the league, and he showed a complete skill set on both ends of the floor. For context sake: Cole Aldrich (78) was ranked higher, and Kendrick Perkins was ranked one point below (76). Nurkic is a whole different galaxy than those guys.
Underrated: Kenneth Faried (78 overall)
While Faried had a disappointing year because he failed to make the leap, his ability as an offensive rebounder and energy guy should have him rated higher than this regardless. Jason Thompson (82), David Lee (80), Amar'e Stoudemire (82) and Ed Davis (80) are just a few of the other big men ranked higher, which seems off.
Weird: Nuggets rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay isn't on the roster at all for some reason, while other rookies across the league are. If you needed more reason to believe that these ratings are far from a finished product, there you go.
