Dario Saric expects to join Sixers next season

The Sixers selected Dario Saric with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, but the plan at the time was for him to remain overseas for at least two seasons.

Saric attempted to get out of his deal with his Turkish team to make the jump this year, but no agreement could be reached.

In a recent interview with a Croatian newspaper, Saric seemed excited about the prospect of coming to Philadelphia to play in the NBA next season.

"Next summer I will, probably, finally go where I want, to the biggest basketball league in the world, NBA," Saric said, as translated by Liberty Ballers. "Imperative is to spend another year in Efes, and then is (time for) America. We have tried to do something this year, but since Efes demanded for me to stay as an important player, I was forced to stay. Finally, I see the point in staying."

While we always need to be careful when translating from another language, this is right in line with everything we've heard regarding Saric to this point of the process.

Should he make the jump to the NBA as expected, Philadelphia will be loaded with frontcourt talent -- and others around the league believe Saric will make an immediate impact the moment he arrives.
