Danny Green felt snubbed by announcement of All-Defensive teams

Published May. 21, 2015 4:40 p.m. ET

On Wednesday, the NBA announced its first and second All-Defensive teams, and San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green failed to crack the list. Chris Paul and Tony Allen made the first team, while John Wall and Jimmy Butler made the second team.

Green was unhappy with the decision, tweeting a since deleted string of snoozing emojis beside a link to the NBA's official press release. He also congratulated his teammates Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard for making the second and first-team, respectively.

Does Green have a right to be upset? Sure. He's a tremendous on-ball defender who can handle three different positions. There aren't many players in the league who truly live up to the 3-and-D moniker like him, and as a free agent this summer he'll be handsomely rewarded by one team that appreciates all he brings to the table.
