Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley is playing through a painful injury right now, and for that he should be commended.
From the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Ronald Tillery, here's a better description of what Conley looks like:
"Mike Conley walked into the Grizzlies’ locker room within the past month looking as though he’d been in a boxing ring with an elite Mike Tyson. Now, Conley has something new to deal with given he’s playing on a right foot sprain that requires him to slip into a size 12 shoe instead of his normal 11½ to accommodate extra padding."
Yikes. Conley still had a solid game in the series opener, but for the team to go as deep as it wants to, he'll need to be in tip-top shape until early June. It's definitely something Memphis should worry about.
