Cavs' Irving questionable vs. Clips

Published Mar. 1, 2013 12:00 a.m. ET

Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving is questionable for tonight's game against the Los Angeles Clippers and a possible matchup with fellow All-Star Chris Paul.

Irving has missed Cleveland's past two games with a hyperextended right knee, and the team is taking a cautious approach with its best player. Cavs coach Byron Scott said he would rather wait for Irving to ''be 100 percent'' before playing, adding it will come down to a game-time decision.

The Cavs beat Chicago and Toronto without Irving, who injured his knee last week in practice. He did not participate in the team's morning shootaround, but was on the floor briefly to take jumpers.

Cleveland is 4-9 in the 13 games Irving has missed this season. He was also sidelined with a broken index finger.
