Cavaliers 111, 76ers 95
J.J. Hickson led a balanced Cleveland scoring attack with 22 points and added 11 rebounds as the Cavaliers cruised to a 111-95 preseason victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.
Eight players reached double figures for Cleveland (5-2), including Anderson Varejao, who had 11 points and 11 rebounds in just over 27 minutes in his first game of the preseason. Varejao, getting a tryout at center, had been out with a sprained ankle and because of a death in his family.
Andre Iguodala led Philadelphia (1-5) with 19 points. Rookie Evan Turner scored four points in his first game back in the state where he was last year's consensus player of the year at Ohio State.
Associate head coach Michael Curry led the 76ers after head coach Doug Collins flew to Philadelphia on Tuesday morning to be examined because of symptoms related to a concussion he suffered on Memorial Day.
