Brooklyn Nets Rally Back Late To Rout Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers led by 10 points late in the third quarter, but the Brooklyn Nets rallied back for a decisive victory.
After Joe Young knocked down a 3-pointer with 34 seconds left in the 3rd quarter against the Brooklyn Nets, it looked like the Indiana Pacers were on their way to another victory in this young season.
That assumption was premature.
The Nets went on a 20-4 run early in the fourth quarter to flip the scoreboard around and then tacked on another scoring run for a 14-point lead late in the game. The Pacers were simply outplayed in the final 12 minutes by the Nets.
Just ask coach Nate McMillan.

The Pacers starters were on the court for much of that stretch, so this isn’t a loss you can blame on the bench. The bench is terrible through two games, but blame is equally spread in this loss.
On the bright side, Thaddeus Young dropped 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists on his former teammates. He’s back to shooting from deep like he was a few seasons ago as he was 2 of 3 from beyond the arc as well as 7 of 12 from the floor.
C.J. Miles also impressed with 15 points on 6 of 10 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers. Myles Turner cooled off but still posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Paul George led Indiana with 22 points but struggled shooting as he went 8 of 22 from the field and 2 of 8 from deep.
It was an ugly loss for the Pacers, but it is much too early in the season to jump to conclusions. If you remember what was going on a season ago at this time, the Pacers started off 0-3 before posting an 11-2 record in November.
The Pacers can get back on track tonight when they take on the Chicago Bulls at 8 p.m.
More from 8 Points, 9 Seconds
