Brett Brown: Sixers made 'world-class, cutting-edge' hires
On a recent radio interview with Malik Rose and Jared Greenberg on SiriusXM, Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown said the team just made two hires that reflect their commitment to keeping its players healthy and pushing them to their potential.
Here's more of what Brown had to say, courtesy of CSN Philly's Enrico Campitelli:
"I think that everybody is going to understand, especially with the hiring. In the next few weeks, you're going to read about two hires the Philadelphia 76ers have made that are world class, cutting-edge stuff, global stuff. It will reflect this conversation. Sports science and an assistant. It's a double-edged powerful asset that we're going to deliver to the market place soon. It's all pointed to the health of our players, bottom line. Next year we're going into a $75 million practice facility."
Philadelphia may be seen as a laughingstock right now, but that perception is rapidly changing. They just drafted Jahlil Okafor (possibly the best player in his class), and sported a respectable defense last season without much talent.
They have one of the smartest front offices in the league, and before too long the product they put on the floor should easily mirror everything going on behind the scenes.
Here's audio of Brown's entire interview.
