Billups questionable for Friday

Point guard Chauncey Billups might miss the Denver Nuggets' game at New Orleans on Friday night because of a strained left groin.

Billups was hurt in the second half of Denver's win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

He underwent a precautionary MRI on Thursday that confirmed a strain of his left adductor muscle, and the team said he was day-to-day.

Veteran Anthony Carter would likely get the start ahead of rookie Ty Lawson if Billups can't play against New Orleans.
