AP source: Courtney Lee goes to Knicks for $50M, 4 years
NEW YORK (AP) A person with direct knowledge of the negotiations tells The Associated Press that Courtney Lee has accepted a four-year contract offer from the New York Knicks.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity Saturday because nothing can be signed or finalized until July 7, when the NBA's offseason moratorium on player movement is lifted.
The Knicks will become the seventh team for the well-traveled Lee, who just finished his eighth NBA season. Lee averaged 9.6 points last season for Memphis and Charlotte, matching his career average.
Lee has also played for Orlando, New Jersey, Houston and Boston. He's also been to the playoffs five times, including each of the past four seasons.
The agreement was first reported by Basketball Insiders.
