Alan Anderson undergoes 'successful' surgery
Alan Anderson was a major player during the Nets' six-game, first-round series loss to the Hawks this season. He guarded Kyle Korver often. He bounced off screens. He defended others well. He knocked down shots. And apparently, he did it all while hurt.
Anderson missed the final seven games of the regular season with what was being referred to as a "sprained ankle" at the time, only to return for Game 1 against Atlanta. Here is the Nets' official press release, which the team sent out Tuesday afternoon:
Anderson averaged 7.4 points in 23.6 minutes while posting a 44-35-81 shooting line this past season. He will be a free agent this summer.
