STATESVILLE, N.C. (AP) Austin Theriault has been medically cleared by NASCAR and will return to the Truck Series six weeks after he suffered a compression fracture of his lower back during a head-on crash into a wall at Las Vegas.

Theriault will drive the No. 29 Ford for Brad Keselowski Racing in Friday night's season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The 21-year-old Theriault has two top five and four top-10 finishes in eight Truck starts this season.

Theriault was injured when he made contact with teammate Tyler Reddick's truck early in the race at Las Vegas and hit the wall on a part of the track not protected by a SAFER barrier.
