Stopped Miata on track leads to hard hits in LeMons race

Everyone was able to walk away OK after a violent three-car incident during a 24 Hours of LeMons race at Sonoma Raceway last weekend.

The incident begins when the gold Trump-themed Miata loses power on the way up hill towards the Carousel (top right camera).

As the Miata passes the crest, it becomes unsighted for many of the cars behind, including the red Ferkel the Nein-11 Porsche (main camera and top left onboard) that rear ends it.

If that shunt wasn’t enough, the Trump Miata then slides back across the track and gets hit again, this time by the green Eyesore Racing Miata.

What makes this incident even more incredible is that, as documented on Jalopnik and the Lemons Racer Lounge Facebook page, the Ferkel Porsche was able to get repaired and was racing again less than three hours later.
