The MotoGP field will return to Silverstone for the 2015 and 2016 British Grands Prix.

The change comes following an announcement Tuesday morning that Donington Park will not be able to host the race in 2015 after the Circuit of Wales - who holds the contract with MotoGP - seemingly failed to make required payments to Donington Park.

BikesSocial.co.uk. - a British motorcycle racing blog - reported Tuesday afternoon that they had received details leaked from an internal memo which read the following:

“I’m very pleased that SCL [Silverstone Circuit Ltd] has been able to announce today that it has agreed with Circuit of Wales that MotoGP will run at Silverstone in 2015 and 2016 – and on a basis that makes commercial sense for SCL. As we have been very keen to retain a strong ‘bike’ presence at Silverstone, we see this as an important step forward.”
