Postponed IndyCar Series race at Texas delayed again

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The IndyCar Series race at Texas is delayed again after already being postponed a day.

IndyCar and track officials were still working Sunday to dry some damp areas on the track when the postponed race was scheduled to start.

One of the problem areas was on the apron on Turn 2, where cars exit pit road get back onto the 1 1/2-mile racing surface. There were also some damp spots on the backstretch, with water seeping through some areas.

After several periods of afternoon rain Saturday, officials worked more than five hours trying to dry the track in humid conditions before announcing the postponement of the scheduled night race at 11:30 p.m. EDT.
