FOX Sports' Bob Varsha sits down with Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta to discuss the future of MotoGP at American circuits and his thoughts on the future of American riders in the sport.
Beginning in 2014, MotoGP now only visits two venues in the United States (Circuit of the Americas and Indianapolis Motor Speedway) and, beginning in 2015, will see just one American rider in the premiere division (Nicky Hayden).
American MotoGP fans hope for a return to the dominance that Americans used to have in the sport, with five different American riders winning 13 of the 16 championships held from 1978-1993.
