Cubs move three-time All-Star shortstop Castro to second base

Welcome to second base Starlin Castro.
That's the new position for the longtime Cubs shortstop, who has been supplanted by hotshot rookie Addison Russell. Castro was benched last Friday and when he finally got back on the field Tuesday night in the sixth inning, Castro took over at second base, where he'll mostly play when called upon, according to Cubs manager Joe Maddon.
It was the first time in Castro's big-league career that headed to that side of second base.
As for Castro, the veteran has to be commended for how he's handled the situation considering the Cubs are playing their best baseball of the season while making a strong run toward a postseason berth, meanwhile he's batted just .235.
"I don't mind," Castro told reporters. "I just want to play. No matter where they want to put me, I want to play."
