What will USC do at running back in 2015?

Published Jun. 11, 2015 11:20 a.m. ET

There's reason for concern when it comes to running backs at USC.

The Trojans lost Buck Allen to the NFL draft. He was a consistent force in the backfield, racking up 1,489 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also was productive in the open field and a great back-up weapon for Cody Kessler after 458 yards receiving.

The question now is, how will USC approach its running back situation? Reign of Troy's Alicia de Artola breaks down what could go right and what could go wrong for the Trojans in 2015.

If everything goes right, "Davis and Madden could indeed be the 'two-headed monster' Sarkisian has described them as in 2015," writes de Artola. But if it all goes wrong? Injuries could be the biggest culprit, de Artola says.

Whatever the case, there's no question the running backs will be closely watched come fall camp.
