UCLA quarterback Kevin Prince left Saturday's game at Houston in the second quarter with a concussion.

Prince was running along the sideline when he was upended by Cougars cornerback D.J. Hayden. Prince flipped over and fell in front of the Bruins' bench.

Richard Brehaut, who started seven games last season, entered the game while trainers attended to Prince. UCLA officials said Prince was showing symptoms of a concussion and would not return.

Prince, who had season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last October, won the starting job over Brehaut in August practices.
